Linux woe- overcome!

I solved my Linux install problem and now have emc at lest runing the
simulator, havent had time to do any more.

My problem was a mismatch between the kernel-headers and kernel-source
packages. I first loaded the versions that came with redhat 5.2. Then I
copied the updates off their web site, but I didnt notice that the
source kit aborted after only 2mb of it. When I loaded the rpms with rpm
-Uvh ker* I missed the error message - and all it said was 'cannot
load'. So I was trying to run patch against the headers of one version
and the source of the old one.

After another download of the entire source kit it loaded and all went
as indicated in the directions. But by then it was to late to try more
than a simple run of emc.sim, but I did get the nice emc screen up.
