Hi Folks,

I want to mention two books that will greatly help anyone who wants
to understand how multiple axis are coordinated, and how interpolation was
( and can still be ) done.

These books can be found through Barnes and Noble's 'out of print'
Search Engine or a Powell's ( www.powells.com ) ( Also out of Print )

i./ Numercial Control by Glenn Ertell
ISBN 0.471.24432.5 Pub.1969

This is a great little book. Mr Ertell builds from the ground
up. It is clear and concise.

ii./ Computer Control of Manufacturing Systems by Yoram Koren
ISBN 0.07.035341.7 Pub.1983

This book discusses Hardware and Software Interpolation Methods.
It also provides insight to sampling rates and such

How this will help some oy you out. This sort of information is not
as prevelant as it once was. If you spend some time looking at the hardware
Interpolation methods, I think you will find that it opens a different way of
looking at some aspects of the 'roll yer own' CNC idea.
