Carey,
By chance, does the IBM Think Pad have a "Suspend" function that
restarts the unit by reloading as it was when shut down? Sometimes
referred to as a quickstart function. This can sometimes be set in
the bios as the default power off mode. If the unit returns to the
DOS state with the CNCPro program running, it almost has to have such
a function. A "cold" restart should return the unit to the default
operating system environment, Win 9x.
Respectfully,
Ron Moore

Ron: Not so on a IBM ThinkPad. When you turn off the laptop while
running CNCPro it reboots back to CNCPro.
