Two that I know of are Ron Ginger and Alvaro Fogassa. Ron
has a web page about his experiences at:

Alvaro recently posted the following message to this list:

Subject: grizzly minimill cnc + zaxis!

Hi All!
I've being away for some time now,to get the grizzly donne. And guess
what? still not donne yet,but It's 90% ready.
It has zerobacklash ballscrews on all axis(including Z axis,).and
everything works as planned.the only thing missing is the counter
balance springs for the heavy headstock(it's a little hard on the z
axis bearing support).
I got the springs today and hope that by the end of this week will
have it in place.
I've cut some aluminumm parts without the springs, and the results
are just bealtifull.Once the springs are in place it should be better
yet!
I would like to post a video of the machine doing some cutting by
the end of this week.
Can someone tell me if I can upload a movie to the files?

I for one am eagerly awaiting Alvaro description of what he's done.
Particularly how he hooked up the Z axis.
