Yes, and it works well. But many of those applications are now
changing to a 'plated' or 'baked-on' synthetic grease... (lubricant,
may not be 'grease', in the common sense...)

This has been tried in the past with poor results, but the chemistry
available today has created products which live up to the 'promise'.
