Joe,
I've always found three phase transformers to be fairly expensive.
Instead, I use two inexpensive single phase transformers hooked up in
an open-delta configuration. Several of my 440V machines are running
this way off 220V power.
Check with any transformer company they'll have the details of the
hookup.
