The Mitutoyo, has presets, where you can enter a number, If you accidentally
move an index, or want to count down. They don't use a keyboard, just two
buttons, like setting a digital watch. One is the up button moves the count
up one each time is pushed. The other is "Preset," it sets first digit
blinking, and then switches to the second when depressed again, then goes to
none blinking, then cycles thru again if desired. Also they have a battery
to hold the last reading in memory, nice if you work late and don't get back
to the shop, your last setting is still there. Both of these functions are
highly desirable.
