I just ordered BobCAM CAD from California and I asked about manuals. I was
assured that I was getting a written manual.
I'll bet he ordered his software from the Florida office. We all know what
goes on in Florida. At least anyone who has listened to the TV in the last
month does any way. Florida is kind of a separate part of BobCAD CAM.
They can deal just about any way they want to.

So, Don't judge the whole because of one of its parts. I found Calif.
helpful, considerate and very fair to deal with. Nothing in my deal to grumble
about.

Now THIS is the kind of info we all need! I've got the BobCAD Demo and
haven't had a chance to even look at it yet. But your info regarding poor
documentation, high cost for manuals, and having to pay extra for lincencing
you don't need (I too, am a one man op.) definitely turns me off!

That's a good idea abouot the ball screw....provided you can disconnect the
lead screw when running CNC.
