There's been plenty of talk about the electronics and the programming for
DRO's and CNC. One thing I haven't heard much about is the actual attaching
of the encoders and such to machines.

I have attached a linear encoder to the knee of my B'port. This was
reasonably easy since there were holes already there from the factory.

But mounting the encoder between the saddle and the table...that's another
story. I think I'll have to drill the table...and drilling my table makes me
a little queasy.

And what about wire runs. How do others keep the wiring from laying,
rubbing, etc. in the swarf, oil, and coolant?

Any thoughts, suggestions, cautions?
