Please let me know if you have any sources...
I would love go with ground if I can get them, but they will be rolled
if I have to order from mcmaster carr, or I could even put up with lead
screws with strong antibacklash nut arrangements. Any input?
I need two (or three) screws in the 55 to 72" range, 1/2"dia and up. And
the nuts and end bearings as required. Probably best with a .2 lead,
although I could use steeper. I'm thinking I might try to make some
mechanism that spins the nut between thrust bearings, rather than the
screw, which would whip at high speeds
and has to have more rotational inertia in the larger sizes...
I also need to find 2pc of 18" Lintech Twinrail, and 4 more mounting
blocks for 3/4" open linear shaft bearings. And some 60"+ box section
aluminum extrusion. The 80/20 seems prohibitive, too flashy for a
homebrew router made with welded steel and an MDF table...
