Lurkers, ACEConverter, my "stuff"

1. Tim: I read, I follow URLs, I learn, I implement. If I don't understand, I ask.
If I can offer a hint, I'll speak up - otherwise, it's just so much noise. I really
appreciate the list (Thanks, Bill), and the participants AND the SNR.
2. I have just fired up my Sherline mill with Dan's 2A chopper controller and
Sherline mounting kit, with CNCpro and Ace. I took Doug Yeager's advice
and switched from Visio to Turbocad 2D for my drawings. From MY level
of expertise (pink-eared newbie) ACE is great value, with great support. I can't
figure out why anyone wanting to actually make chips would even think about
designing their own DXF converter. Or to design their own controller, when
they can buy the PCB from Camtronics for 45.00, stuff it with their own parts.
Proven design.
I have to admit that the sounds of the steppers and the sight of the Al. chips
flying could only be compared with hitting the "loud" pedal in a Ferrari - Thanks
to the above vendors, and thanks to the group!
