I know that this list is a bit partial to NAMES, but I thought Id make a
small plug here for Cabin Fever.
The show is Sat and Sun, Jan 27,28 at Lebanon PA. Note this is a NEW
LOCATION from the past years, with about 3 times the floor space and
room for demos and seminars. In my view its as good a show as NAMES.
There will be 4 seminars:
Rudy Kouhoupt, writer for HOME SHOP MACHINIST,
Bill Huxhold, a master model maker and maker of the most beautiful 1/4
size Hardinge lathe you could imagine.
Bill Chernoff, (president?owner?bos??) of Shooting Star DRO will talk
about a clock building project.
Ron Ginger, CNC hacker and BS slinger, will be talking about CNC on the
Cheap.
The New England Model Engineering society will be there, 39 of us on a
chartered Coach, a few others driving down. We wil be running an exhibit
to actually make chips so folks can see how metal gets cut. Prazi has
loaned us some machines, and we will be making a very loud whistle to
give away to kids. If I get it done my Sherline will be engraving on the
whistles.
Our member Jeff DelPapa, chief NERD, will be there to sign autographs
and tell great stories about Junkyard Wars.
There will be a hospitality suite Friday and Saturday night at the
Quality Inn (but they are already sold out of roooms, lots of other
places to stay nearby)
All in all a great weekend, anyone on the east half of the country ought
to be there!
