It occurs to me that the word piezio MAY be misleading. Insert
ultrasonic anywhere I have typed piezio previously in this thread.

So we have a probe vibrating ultrasonically. When it touches
anything, it will be 'damped' and the frequency will change. When we
sense this frequency change, we know we have hit something. We'll
keep the amplitude low to save the pets' ears :-) Machine vibration
should not? be a problem...
