I was just going to connect a cap between the output and ground. I
need a series resistor?

It's been a couple of decades. Let's see, how do I figure the value
for a .5v drop at 6 amp, with a 28v supply?

Ah, never mind. Don't you love the Internet? "1 ohm will cause
currents of 1 amp to drop 1 volt, or currents of 10 amps to drop 10
volts"

So, 1 ohm would cause a drop of 6 volt, I would need 1/12 ohm to get
a drop of .5 v.

So, I would need a 1/12 ohm resistor, rated at 6*.5= 3 watts?

Where would I buy a 1/12 ohm resister? Radio Shack?
