Correl to cutting

I am new to this forum, and I am about to buy a copy of Supercam.
Super cam can take DFX files and cut from them after editing, or
create G codes from them. It works ok, I guess, but I do not have a
lot of experience with it. Before I go ahead and spend those hard
earned dollars, I am wondering if some kind persons on this forum
would share advice on what is the smoothest way to get a shape drawn
in Corell, or inported from a scanner to the Cnc plasma cutter I am
building for craft/hobby use. The 2 1/2 axis plasma cutter uses the
Gecko 320. I do want to be able to add cutter radius easily to the
shape. Please advise.
Thanks
