Thank you for the response. So the water is used to "hold" the re-
threading wire straight?
How far is the upper guide from the workpiece? What I'm really asking
is "Does the wire re-thread through the existing path (which perhaps
is 'cleared of debris' by the water jet, or does it restart through
the original start hole?
Assuming this, does it then quickly retrace to the point where the
wire broke (much as a cnc machine does for a restartr from a broken
tool)?
Surely these wire edm's do not contain a waterjet 'cutter' for re-
thread?!?
Is there a "blip in the edge where the re-thread/ restart occurs? If
not, do you know how 'they' avoid this problem?
