Are these holes pre-"drilled"? Or does the wire act as a 'sinker' edm
to make the start hole? Is the wire stiff,like piano wire? And
so 'tries' to be straight? I thought this was soft wire??? (like a
mig welder)

I mean't a waterjet abrasive cutter for making the start hole, not
for cutting the wire. But thank you for the additional info re the
wire cutter. Dan M has/had a little "wire chopper" run by dancam.
