No, we're not talking about a db25, but your point there are good.
As a general knowledge sort of thing, you should know that crimp
connectors which have been soldered will no longer meet many
reliability specs! Soldering in a "flexible" connection has been
repeatedly shown to be inferior to PROPER crimping.
Not attacking, I've soldered some myself... But it's better to crimp
properly!
