That still does not lower the cost to the hobby level as you need a $880
motion card. Also has the problem of giving you used parts with unknown
support. We know that Mariss will give top level support for free if you buy
his Gecko drives.

I am not trying to berate your true servo setup, but point out that for many
of us hobby types the Gecko step and direction servos are an improvement
from steppers for about the same cost and less skill and ability required to
get them running. Take a DOS computer and slap in CNC Pro, get 3 off the
shelf drivers from Gecko, add a breakout board and power supply from
Camtronics and you have a system the average non-EE, non-computer nerd can
get running.
