Thanks for the replies. I would definatley start out with scrap wood/metal
before trying on the fancy metals. The good thing about these engines as a
first project is you can buy the whole kit and then machine parts and try
them out individually comparing the tolerances and performance with the
parts from the kits. I already have one of the KJ-66 kits and there are
definately parts you would buy like the turbine and compressor. However, you
can even do these parts if you only plan on doing Proof of Concepts and
limiting the RPM. I do have allot of ideas for mods and even may tackle an
axial compressor design I've been sketching in AutoCad.
I've half-hearditly looked for a means to switch to digest mode for this
list. Is Digest mode available?
