Great! Keep us up to date on it. How about a discount
for list members?

Until then, although not D-I-Y, but nevertheless interesting
2nd Edition of "CNC Workshop" by Frank Nanfara
is out now: ISBN 0-13-091412-6

http://www.torcomp.com email mariab@...

This book is a CNC tutorial, with a realtime simulator (but no
outputs as far as I know). The first version of the book had
software which ran as Java under MS Internet Explorer.

The second edition of the book has rewritten software in C++
and (I understand) also OpenGL, so those of you with decent
OpenGL video cards (ie NVidia TNT,TNT2,GeForce, GeForce2)
should be able to see photorealistic machining in real time (but
still no outputs to control an actual machine - - too bad....).

Also, for a short time, I understand there are a few pre-press books
(B&W covers, but with the software) available for a discount at Torcomp.
