EMC does support traditional servos. It is written to use the Servo to Go
board as the interface to the amplifiers. Not sure on the subroutine part.

Also, if you have not tied them you may want to test out a set of GeckoDrive
G320/G340 servo drives. You give them step and direction signals and they
drive the brushed DC servo motors. Very nice and $99 - $129 per axis
depending upon which model.
