Just Starting Out

Hello Everyone
I am just starting out to learn about CNC routers and would like
some suggestions on what is the best way to go about it . I have been
to the sites that sell CNC equipment and have a good idea of what is
involved .
My motivation for this project of building a CNC router is that I
am a violin maker and would like to someday be able to arch violin
plates . I own my own metal lathe and I am in the process of buying a
milling machine .
I have some experience with linear bearings but none with stepper
or servo motors .
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
