RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Another silly newbie question

Hello.
I am curious as to what a ball screw is. I have looked up and found pictures
but they are never clear enough for me to make out what is going on.
I have heard reference to them on the Sherline group.
What are they and what do they do?
