My brother bought an Olympus (model?) at CostCo. 1.3 Mpix, does fine for
what he wants. Myself, I got received a Nikon Coolpix880 for
Christmas! DO get a battery eliminator/charger or what have you, those
Lithium batteries are close to $12 each! I run on rechargeable
batteries, and have backup Lithium batteries.
For uploads to the PC, you can't beat USB, or, my favorite, Compact
Flash. My IBM 310 notebook takes PCMCIA cards, and an adapter allows me
to read the CF's. I also have PCMCIA on my home and work computers.
The hand held PC I've often talked about ALSO has a PCMCIA slot.
