Yes, quite true. That was another reason for going with a better cameras -
better optics.

The quality of the lens is no less important than for a film camera. On
reason for my going with an Olympus as opposed to an electronic company's
camera was that a "real" camera maker is more likely to understand the ins
and outs of the glass!!

I have been pleased to note that the lens quality of my Olympus seems to
exceed the image capabilities under all conditions I've encountered,
meaning that I have not encountered aberration problems or the like.
