My customer is using W98 on his computer and when he exits CNCPro of course
windows completely takes over the port. Since I am using a TTL level
activated relay interface card, and since I had several spare inputs/relays
available, I just routed the 110VAC power thru a normally closed spare on the
card which in turn would unlatch the control power relay circuit and disable
ANY and all of the motor starters, etc.
Of course, you would need a dedicated auxiliary control power circuit with
emergency stop, etc., to do this.
Just a thought and it does work quite well.
