Last couple of years I've talked with them at Westec (in LA). If my
memory is correct, the system is priced per axis. Something like
$2000 to $3000 per axis. So, a basic 2 axis lathe setup was around
$5000 for the software only.
They made a big point of the fact that they don't sell any of the
required hardware. The system is such that you aren't tied into
proprietary stuff from them.
Looked like a nice system. Certainly not designed to serve the low
end hobbiest market. They have quite a list of referrals showing
ultra large multi-axis machines running under their software.
Whether the system could be gotten up and running by a reasonably
competent user without expecting to pay factory support is the one
nagging question I've not gotten a straight answer to.
