fdisk for linux

ok I have never used fdisk at all is there a step by step
instruction in how to do it , if so can someone please point me in
the right direction

This is so I can set up my linux on the 586 p75 133mhz all I have is
a 720 hard drive so I have to do it the hardway ,looking both
ways .now jump!!!!!!
