Once upon a time, I bought a Dremel 4486 Multi-Pro chuck
to match a Dremel Model 395 Type 5.

As far as I could figure, it was 41.666 threads/inch (or 24 thou/thread),
with a major dia of .278" and a minor dia of .245"

I wanted to make a 1/4" adapter( to use my Sears die grinder with the
Dremel bits) using the Multi-Pro 4486 collet:
- 1.500 " long overall
- left 1/4" dia x .95" long
- a 0.05" long slight concave fillet
- and 0.500" long thread as above (41.666 tpi)
- from the right, a 0.165" dia hole approx 1.250" deep (to accept
the shanks coming through the backside of the collet).

Alas, I did not have access to any lathes capable of 41.666 TPI. Maybe
this will change when Dave finishes integrating a spindle encoder
into his TurboCNC program.
