"If I understand what you are trying to do, my suggestion is to
extract the edges of your "panes" of glass and make the extracted
surfaces a medium grey, with the same or lower transparency level as
the "glass". Go to Solid/Extract surface or type in ExtractSrf in the
command line. At the "Select surfaces to extract" prompt, type in c
(to make copies) and click on the edges of your "glass". Then set the
properties of the new surfaces as above and render."

What I am trying to draw is the classic
explanation for multiview (orthographic
projection.

The easiest is to draw the "glass plane
as a rectangle, but the rectangle will
disappear on rendering.
Solve by drawing the "rectangle as a
thin box (glass panel)

Rhino "perspective" view

Rhino rendered view, lines disappeared.

Question is, how do I get the lines to remain
visible on rendering?
