Yes quite a few of the newer prgrams, Solid works, Solid Edge,
Microstation all have the ability to preselect what ever standard you
want to draw in. Select ISO and all you layouts will be in ISO
standards including dimensioning.
Autocad has long had a reputation for being died in the wool and not
changing

Fine
Lets do the whole lot as well.
One g - code, everybody works in metric, everybody speaks English,
shoot all the left handed people, no 110 volt electrics.
Unfortunalty I don't think it's that easy.
We have whole countries speaking different languages, are these
poeple wrong, not it's just a different way of doing things.
IMO there are no real differances between 1st and 3rd, they are just
different ways of doing the same thing. In the Uk we are
predominantly 1st angle but when I was trained we were taught BOTH
ways.
If you want to campain then campain for people putting the legend on
drawings, either written or the universal cone logo to SHOW what
angle it has been drawn in.

Not true you do EXACTLY the same amount of work. It's just WHERE the
views are placed.
