Good afternoon :-)

Didn't realise there would be so much
interest in the cdD part of CADCAM.

I have seen too many mixture of 1st and 3rd angles
in orthographic projections!!! IMO, 1st angle should
be abolished. Why?

1. cause unneccessary confusion
2. easier to explain how to get an isometric
given the orthographic projection in 3rd. angle
3. in autocad (what about other CAD's?) one can
automatically generate views by clicking on
the side required. For example, if we have a
front view, clicking on the top will generate
a top view positioned to the top of the front
view

clicking on the right side of the front view
will generate a view of the right side positioned
on the right side of the front view

clicking on the left side of the front view will
result in the left side view positioned on the
left side of the front view/

clicking on the bottom of the front view will
result in a view of the bottom placed at the
bottom of the front view

and this is THIRD ANGLE

Is there any CAD programs that generate
orthographic projections in the FIRST ANGLE

Already enough confusion from different Gcode
dialect.
Let's make an effort in making life easier for
everyone. Let's start a campaign to abolish
first angle, AND those dialects/flavors of
Gcode that we don't like.

Simple Simon
