Just a thought on alternatives without batch processsing. A bit of
Tcl/Tk code and EMC users could define an EMC parameter to hold the current
serial number. Read that number from the emc.var file, pass it to
Lawrence's CP routine for creating g-code from text, engrave the plate, and
update the emc.var file. Repeat as needed.
I salted this idea away for that day when I make more than one of anything!
