CADMAN,

In most cases when you are working with the Z axis you want to set the top
of the material to 0. Just be sure that when you post from your cam package
that you tell the program that the top of the material is 0 and that down is
a negative number.

In the case where you have removed the top of the material and wish to
change the tool, be sure to have a scrap piece of material around that is
the desired thickness. Just use the scrap material to find the new Z zero
point.
