No, I am not saying that they will not work. I know there are people running
RedHat 6.2 with EMC successfully. I have not heard of any success with 7.0.
To get a usable EMC you must have a real time kernel for the version. I
don't know if the group that does the RT extensions have a stable release
for the kernel version in 7.0. I would be willing to say that the people
that have gotten 6.2 to work with EMC have tended much more towards the
Linux side of the house and they had to do a fare amount of things that a
person versed only in DOS/Windows would not know to make it work.
My statement was "you can know virtually nothing about Linux and get EMC
running if you are willing to stick with the version written for RedHat
5.2." and I am willing to stand by it.
