Well, let's not confuse kernel versions with distribution versions. You
can install a kernel 2.0.36 in redhat 6.0 and patch it to run rtlinux and
emc on it. This way you take advantage of newer versions of any other
binary you may use (newer c compiler + libs, etc).

I am struggling with rtlinux on a 2.0.5 kernel..then lets see if emc
can be added.
