For those who already don't know about my Taig Lathe pages and dealership,
it is at http://www.proaxis.com/~taig
As for the max speed of the Taig spindle, although Taig only rates it at 7K
rpm, they have reported several users who spin it upwards of 10K rpm,
although this is at their own risk.

I am considering using a Taig headstock as a spindle in another project I am
working on. Any on the list a dealer for this line?
Also would be interested in any other ideas for a spindle that can ideally
handle 10,000 rpm. The Taig is only rated to 7K and I would like to find
something higher speed if available. In this case, price is a consideration.
