low profile motorized XY stages

This is a bit off topic but just pretend I'm building a small,
slow, wimpy milling machine.
Does anyone know of a good supplier for low profile motorized
XY stages? I'm looking for one with around 4" of travel in XY,
.0005" accuracy and a positioning speed of around 2" inches per
second. I can find plenty of suppliers which will stack two of
their normal linear stages together but things get taller than
what I'd like then. It would be cool if the whole thing wasn't
more than 3" high. Any idea?
Thanks,
Drew
