I use a mist unit and have not had a problem with fog. It is nothing special
just the unit that came with my Shoptask (Think it is a Koolmist). If I
remember the proper adjustment from the machining course I took 20 some odd
years ago the reason for fogging is that you are running too much air and
coolant through it. I adjust the unit so that I barely see any fluid coming
out of the nozzle and if I hold my finger 3 or 4 inches from the nozzle I
feel very cold wet air and it takes 15 or 20 seconds for a drop to form. I
think that if you adjust a mist unit like this you will find they work great
without any health concerns. Remember, the idea is not to use the mist unit
to try and deliver a flood of coolant.
