I highly recommend the Emerson Drives that Keith mentioned, and they have
smaller ones. I use them on a variety of machines, not just CNC mills, and
they work great. What I like about them is the ability to use everything
from Step/Direction signals,
+/- 10 volt analog signals and even drive them via ASCII text commands thru a
serial port with your own software. I am developing software for a gang rip
saw optimizing system using Visual Basic 6.0 Pro and am driving an Emerson
system using the serial port, it works flawlessly.
