Hi Bill,

If you're just driving a prop in a boat, why not use a DC motor? Cheap,
no stepper driver required. Get an old 5.25" floppy drive, the bigger
the better. I once bought 25 of 'em. they contain a DC motor (with
tach) to drive the spindle, and a small stepper to drive the head. I
just saw similar motors advertised in "alltronics" (I think) this
morning. Can I send you a couple of motors? Speed control? a PIC can
do PWM, and "read" the tach!

I thought your launches were STEAM launches? ;>)
