Progress 5amp stepper board

Dan
I have got the stepper board built into an enclosure, I thought I was on the last lap,
I have just finished assembling and testing the power supply, after testing the power supply (all OK), and without thinking I proceeded to connect it up to the board with the cap fully charged, (Idiot) the end result being X axis OK Z axis runs but at mid range revs the motor goes erratic and eventualy blows fuse Y axis nothing at all, although a logic probe appears to check everything out OK at the plug end, but there is no power there when the stepper is plugged in .( an expensive lesson on Capacitors) I have now got a 24v bulb temporarily across the Cap to bleed it off when switching.
I have started again with the board, testing from the beginning, Logic 5v is OK,
555 timer is OK, I have removed the 3 3300 caps and all axis are open circuit, no shorts, I think there are two mossfets down on the Z axis, which I have ordered localy, but I cannot think what is wrong with the Y axis, when checked out with meters all is OK, but it won't drive a motor. Will there be any of the smaller items on the board, or the ICs damaged, I have run the X axis with the ICs from the Y axis, and it runs, so they seem to be OK.
Any advice would be welcome,

Well most dissapointing after such a good start, Pass the whisky Arne,

Best Wishes
