Hi,
Hope some don't get upset with this question about inch per minute
(ipm).
I wanted to purchase a popular window based motor controller for
Sherline when someone mentioned that it is limited in ipm. When I
asked the principal, I was told that the Sherline cannot go too fast
without doing damage to the machine. Is there a maximum ipm that the
Sherline can go safely, and how fast it can go without doing any
damage to the mechanism?
Also I noticed that www.super-tech.com 's minirobo can go 240 ipm,
but cannot find the price. Does anyone on the list knows the price?
(BTW I don't advice those with short patience, dial-up and slow
connection try to log on to www.super-tech.com as it is full
of "beautiful/unnecessary" graphics and take very long to load)
Can those with experience fill in a survey form below (or simplify
the survey form). Perhaps with the response, we can compile the data
for the file section

Also, anyone used Denis Bohlke's plan in the file section to
fabricate a gantry, and if 120ipm or better/worse can be achieved?
Anyone with experience using Rigotti's plan for a CNC router?
Thanks,
Ed
