Hi All,
Has anybody out there seen or had experience with the GEM-500G or G
II bed mill? This is from Taiwan as far as I can tell. It is
similar to the RF-45 with a geared/tilting head and the dovetail
column, but weighs in at 1400 lbs. Table travel is X20 x Y14 x Z18
total. It looks like an ideal candidate for CNC conversion. Has a 6
or 12spd gearbox with a 1 1/2HP or 2HP motor, R8 or MT3 spindle. I
have my eye on one, and am looking for some feedback from the group.
BTW, this will replace my mill/drill conversion - any takers?
