proportional valves

Hallo Freunde, hello friends,
this week I got some hydraulic proportional valves for a
chip wood press. Because the documentation didn't arrive and
the client himself is interested in testing the possibilities of the
valves
I will make a test on my hydraulic copy lathe.
Perhaps there is still an opportunity to leave the pistons on the lathe
and
go with hydraulic control to CNC.
Or at least get better control over the movements and substitute the
relay control by a PLC and cut down the set up time to something
reasonable.
At the moment set-up time is 3 to 8 hours for one job. And as soon the
oil heats up or cools down the measurements vary.
Lets have a look what happens.
