Just my two cents

Greetings everyone.
I have been lurking in this group for some time. There certainly is a
great deal of useful information offered by the regulars.
I have never posted here because The Yahoo/EGroups registration
methods have always acted like my password or user name was invalid.
I was finally was able to get the everything to jive and work. I hate
to tell you how many username/passwords I must have scattered about in
Yahoo's/EGroups Server.
My second problem comes down to time. Being a browser based group, It
takes a long time to follow thru entire threads, follow up on who
said what and so on. It seems that the "view by thread" function only
half-kinda works and, It seems I have no way of knowing if I have
already read through a Post until I re-open it.
Has there ever been any discussion to have the group turned into a
typical NG ? I do not know what is all involved to do so but it would
sure speed things up.
It's just my two cents....... I am not trying to start a fight or
problems. How are many of you able to process through the many posts
that appear here daily ?? What methods could I attempt without
flooding my mailbox with the daily posts ??
I would like to be able to contribute (what little I know) when
certain topics come up. This is a very good group with a lot of
activity. Controller-wise, I have a knowledge base of Indexer LPT,
Flashcut, Ah-ha, Microkinetics DOS, some others that slip my old
mind.
Right now, I am awaiting somethings to "snap" in the market, Notably
The 32 bit release from Flashcut and also the G-Code interface for
Indexer from Ability Systems. I have yet to try Yeagers Control though
it sounds much like the way Indexer Runs (smooth, very smooth)
Great Group ! Just wish I could wade through it a little faster in
this already busy world !
Thanks,
Chris Luebke
