was MDF for machines; now apology



Hi all,

This is a great INTERNATIONAL list with people from many countries
and diverse cultural, professional background. Whenever one interact
with others of different cultural background, there is always danger
of miscommunication/misunderstanding. I remember one where a common
innocent everyday greeting used by one community was taken as ill-
mannered by those of another when I was a student in a University
with a very international student population. I plea for tolerance
and understanding AND GOOD HUMOUR.

<We should tailor the equipment to the task and the requirement and
not just try to keep up with the Jones (any on the list?)> This was
composed in a hurry, perhaps without too much thoughts and perhaps on
retrospection should not be posted as it isn't humourous as it was
intended to be. Perhaps it is a a little offensive, but it also
wasn't meant to offend.

To anyone offended I apologies.
