Thanks for the advice, Mariss. Is it worth putting braid around the
pigtail leads at the motor (I'm planning to put an inline socket there) or
is that short of unshielded leads not a problem?

I'd love to do that, but I'm at least two hours from the nearest city with
an electronic surplus store that I know of (there is a combination Radio
Shack/Beanie Baby store here in town...) so I'll be content with ordering
something that I know ahead of time will be right, thanks to all you
helpful folks here in the group! :-)
