I have a 6' precision straight edge, and a long granite beam from
a circuit board drilling machine. But, I have been looking for a practical
straight edge for scraping purposes for several years. I bid on one nice
one on eBay, and it went over $350! So, the castings from Mike Morgan
are not unreasonable. I'm in for a raw casting, which I will have to machine

and true up myself. I've done just a tiny bit of repair scraping, so it will
be
a big learning experience for me.
